No sound?

Across plays its sounds through the ringer, so it follows the silent switch and lets your own music keep playing. Turn the ringer on, and check that Sound is on at the bottom of the home screen.

Across pauses itself when the screen turns or the app is interrupted. Lay the device flat between you to keep it still, then tap Resume.

How to play

Lay the device flat between you. Each player plays on the half of the screen nearest them, turned to face them. Tap Ready on both sides and play after the countdown. Choose Vs phone on the home screen to play alone against the phone (Easy, Medium or Hard).

• Air Hockey: drag your mallet and shoot the puck into the far goal. First to 7.
• Racing: drag on your side to point your car where you want it to go. First to finish 3 laps.
• Tank Duel: drag to drive, tap to fire. Shells bounce off walls twice, and your own shells can hit you. First to 5 hits.
• Sumo Push: drag to move, tap to dash. Push your rival out of the ring before it shrinks. First to 3.
• Light Cycles: swipe to turn. Hit a wall or any trail and your rival scores. First to 3.
• Quick Draw: wait for the screen to light up, then tap first. Tap too soon and your rival scores. First to 3.
• Tug of War: tap your side as fast as you can to pull the knot over your line.
• Math Duel: is the sum right? Tap ✓ or ✗ before your rival. A wrong answer gives them the point. First to 5.

No data collected

Across does not collect, store on a server, or share any personal information. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics or tracking, and it does not use the network. Everything happens on your device.

What stays on your device

Your Sound, Haptics, opponent and difficulty choices are saved on your device so the app remembers them. Scores and play counts are kept only while the app is open. Deleting the app removes all of this.

Support email

If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send, and use them only to answer you. Support email is handled through Gmail. Contact us to request deletion of support correspondence, subject to any retention legally required.

Children

Across collects no information from anyone, including children.
